A487 Tremadog to Penmorfa - Cycle and Pedestrian Link

In response to concerns from Local Residents, Walkers & Horse Riders about the proposed laying of tarmac along the Alltwen stretch of Bridleway, Derec Morgan - Project Manager for Gwynedd Council after further consultation, sent a reply informing everyone that the decision had been reversed, although the proposed relocation of the gates was going ahead.

However Linda Thomas a local horse rider using the Bridleway decided to press Derec Morgan further about relocating the gates and the need for a Pelican or "Toucan" crossing in Penmorfa village.

As a result, Derec Morgan wrote to Linda has again reviewed the proposal and the gates will remain in place, only a stretch of stone walling will be repaired, along with laying a suitable surface. Details of the pedestrian crossing have been passed on to the Highways Agency for consideration. We will keep you informed!
